Most of you know about the looming lockout that has now taken over the 2012-2013 National Hockey League Season. But there will be at least one hockey game filled with talent this year, and that game is called Operation Hat Trick. Philadelphia Flyers’ Scott Hartnell and New York Rangers’ Brad Richards have come together to create an all-star roster of NHL players to play for a charity game that will benefit all of those who were effected by Hurricane Sandy. Hartnell will be captain of Team Philly/New Jersey and Richards will be Captain of Team New York.
Here is a look at the line up for Team Philadelphia/ New Jersey.
Forwards: Scott Hartnell, Steven Stamkos, Wayne Simmonds, Simon Gagne, David Clarkson, James van Riemsdyk, Daniel Carcillo, Justin Williams, and Steve Downie.
Defensemen: Kimmo Timonen, Braydon Coburn, P.K. Subban, John Carlson, and Andy Greene.
Goaltender: Martin Brodeur
Here is what Team New York looks like.
Forwards: Brad Richards, Bobby Ryan, Daniel Alfredsson, Corey Perry, James Neal, Taylor Pyatt, Ville Leino, Jeff Halpern, Brian Boyle, Matt Martin, Arron Asham.
Defensemen: Marc Staal, Dan Girardi, Steve Eminger, Mike Komisarek
Goaltender: Henrik Lundqvist.
Operation Hat Trick will be held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday November 24th 2012. All proceeds go directly to the Empire State Relief Fund, the New Jersey Hurricane Relief Fund and the American Red Cross. This will truly be a once in a lifetime game that will be amazing on so many levels! Let’s just pray that this isn’t the only hockey game of the season! Lets Go Team Philly/Jersey!
