76ers Host 11-26 Hornets Tonight

Tonight the 76ers take on the Hornets and they've been led this season by Thaddeus Young & Jrue HolidayTonight the 16-22 Philadelphia 76ers take on the 11-26 New Orleans Hornets. The 76ers are coming off their 107-100 win over the Rockets over the weekend and face what is pretty much a match up they should dominate. Jrue Holiday is coming off a 30 point effort against Houston to go with his 9 assists. The Hornets travel to Philly after their loss Sunday to the Knicks. The Hornets are worse than the 76ers in all categories except for scoring allowed where they’re tied.

Earlier this season in a true abysmal performance by both teams the 76ers defeated New Orleans in New Orleans 77-62 with Holiday once again leading the way with 14 points & 12 assists. #1 Overall pick Anthony Davis has seen his minutes drop as of late but he still leads the team in averaging 7.8 rebounds per game. The 5th place team in the Southwest Division has Ryan Anderson leading the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game. Eric Gordon‘s return from injury and has scored double digits in 4 of his last 5 games.

Holiday continues to lead the team in PPG (18.7) and Assists (8.8) in the abscense of Andrew Bynum. Thaddeus Young has continued to impress with 14.8 PPG and leads the team in rebounds (7.2). These are the types of teams the 76ers need to beat up on to get themselves back into the playoff talk and Doug Collins knows it. With being 6 games under .500 they’re currently 4 games behind the 8th place Milwaukee Bucks and in their last 10 games they’re 3-7. Of the next 12 games for the 76ers only 1 is away and they have played well at home with a 10-8 record at the Wells Fargo Center.
