Get ready 76ers fans cause Wednesday night at 7 PM it’s the streak game. The Miami Heat (48 – 14) are in town to play the hometown Philadelphia 76ers (24-39). Just one week removed from a 102 – 93 loss in Miami the 76ers are hoping to improve after beating the Nets on Monday night. The Heat are bringing to town defending MVP LeBron James and his 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists per game. If that weren’t bad enough Dwyane Wade has been on fire the past two weeks and was recently named Eastern Conference Player of the Week while averaging 25 points per game over the past two weeks.
Heat at 76ers Preview for 3/13/13
Even though Jrue Holiday has been having a tough time of late, he still averaging just under 19 points and 9 assists per game. Thaddeus Young has really been playing great of late as he battles back from injury and Spencer Hawes enjoyed his finest game as a 76er in the win over the Nets.
Tonight is about the streak though. Can Miami continue its 19 game winning streak and get #20 tonight or do the Sixers end the Heat streak and start their own 2 game winning streak? Looking at this statistically, it doesn’t even seem close and the Heat should run away with another victory but the 76ers played them strong to start the last game on Friday and hopefully they build off their strong game against the Nets.
