It has been reported that former 49ers’ safety Dashon Goldson has agreed to a five-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that is reported to be worth $41.25 million, with $22 million guaranteed. Goldson will now be paired with former Alabama S Mark Barron. The Eagles have missed on another free agent they were reported to be interested in, including Jake Long, who will take a physical, and is expected to sign with the Rams.
Philadelphia could turn its attention to Bernard Pollard, who will be cut by the Baltimore as per his tweet. The Ravens now have three starters from their starting secondary on the free agent market. Ricky Jean-Francois has yet to agree to a deal with the Eagles, who have been reported to be in contact with Connor Barwin, Victor Butler, and Antwan Barnes. Philadelphia is looking to shore up their front seven via free agency, which makes Demarcus Milliner a very likely pick at number four in April’s draft.
Philadelphia has been most recently rumored to be in contact with representatives of New England RT, Sebastian Vollmer, in addition to former Cincinnati Bengal’s RT Andre Smith, so expect some sort of a signing on the offensive line as well, though signing either of these two coveted free agents would mean the shift of all-pro RT Todd Herremans back inside to the guard position. Philadelphia has money left to spare, and are looking to spend it in the near future.Tags: Andre Smith, Bernard Pollard, Connor Barwin, Dashon Goldson, defense, Demarcus Milliner, free agency, NFL, offense, Philadelphia Eagles, Ricky Jean-Francois, Sebastian Vollmer, signing, Todd Herremans, Victor Butler
