Final 1st Round Mock Draft for 2013 NFL Draft

Luke Joeckel is projected to be the Number 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.Below is my projection for the first round of the 2013 NFL draft. The order is dictated by team need as well as player talent, and no trades are involved.

2013 NFL Draft Projection:

1. Kansas City Chiefs- Luke Joeckel, OT Texas A&M – With a trade for LT Brandon Albert reportedly in the works with the Dolphins, the Chiefs will solidify their offensive line here.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars- Eric Fisher, OT Central Michigan- Fisher has  sparked the Jaguars’ interest, and should be a starter from day one.

3. Oakland Raiders- Shariff Floyd, DT Florida- Floyd is a dominant run stopping talent, and can fit a variety of schemes. The Raiders could …

NFL Releases 2014 Schedule; Good News or Bad for the Eagles?

This will be an interesting handshake after the Eagles & Chiefs game this season in Philadelphia. The NFL has released the 2014 season schedule, and Eagles fans are in for a stressful experience from day one. The Eagles will open the Monday night football season on September 9th taking on last year’s NFC East Champions, the Washington Redskins in their home town. Eagles fans will have to wait an additional day for Chip Kelly‘s debut as coach, but this season opener should be well worth the wait. In addition to six divisional games, the Eagles will play the AFC West, NFC North, as well as conference foes: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Arizona Cardinals.

Strength of schedule can be the most important factor working against a team …

Spending for Success in the NFC East

Mike Wallace is expected to get a lot of attention in the Free Agent market from NFC East teams.NFL free agency will start on March 12th, and thus, the most tumultuous part of the NFL off-season will begin. Unfortunately for Philadelphia, the Eagles are not the only team in the NFC east looking to improve during the free agency period, and with prime talent on the market like Mike Wallace, Greg Jennings, Brent Grimes, and Jake Long, teams will have a chance to improve across the board.

The Dallas Cowboys used their franchise tag for the second straight year on hybrid defensive linemen-linebacker Anthony Spencer, in addition to releasing veteran safety, …

Eagles end the 2012 Season with Loss to Giants

Michael Vick more than likely has thrown his last pass as a Philadelphia Eagle. The Philadelphia Eagles’ 2012 season ended today at Metlife Stadium with a truly horrifying loss to the New York Giants, 42-7. The 14th season of Andy Reid as the Eagles head coach has also ended and quite possibly has coached his last Eagles game. There was nothing redeeming about this loss or the qualify of the effort put out on the field by many players on the 4-12 team. Michael Vick started the game and Trent Edwards finished it. Nnamdi Asomugha was benched.

The game started exactly like Reid’s coaching career in Philadelphia began…with a recovered onside kick. It would last all of 5 plays before Vick threw a ball over Brent Celek‘s head and landed in …

Michael Vick to Start for Injured Rookie Nick Foles

Michael Vick will start at least 1 more game for the Philadelphia EaglesPhiladelphia Eagles fans get to watch Michael Vick work his magic on the field one more time this season. After Nick Foles was named the starter for the rest of the season, regardless if Vick was healthy, I thought we would never get to watch him take a snap in an Eagles jersey again. Luckily for all of those Vick fans, he will be the starter against the New York Giants Sunday. Unfortunately Foles will be sitting out due to a hand injury.

The second half against Washington was disappointing and started to make Foles seem like he may not be the quarterback many thought he was. However, reports have come out that Foles played the second half against the Washington Redskins with a …
